FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terret said in early January that a spot Bitcoin ETF was unlikely to be approved.
FOX reporter Eleanor Terret wrote on XPost that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) should consider changes to the Spot Bitcoin ETF’s S-1 filing.
Following this series of reviews, the SEC said it will release and notify the company of a firm final filing date for Form S-1 within the next 24 to 48 hours, similar to the Ethereum (ETH) futures ETF approval program next October.
“SEC staff has been on leave since Friday, so Tuesday or Wednesday approval looks very difficult. But we will see! Whatever happens, the next two weeks will be exciting.” Eleanor Terrett, Fox Business correspondent
Many analysts expect the Spot Bitcoin ETF to be approved in early January. Companies such as Valkyrie, Fidelity Investments, ARK Invest, Grayscale, WisdomTree and Invesco are also awaiting SEC approval. Bitcoin ETF issuers have already obtained important details in discussions with the SEC. The deadline for regulators to decide on Bitcoin ETF applications is January.
As the deadline approaches, BTC price is reacting by surging above $45,000, a 21-month high not seen in early April 2022.
