Investment firm VanEck has pledged 5% of potential profits from its planned Bitcoin ETF to support Brink by increasing institutional support for open source development.
Investment firm VanEck has pledged to allocate 5% of potential profits from the planned Spot Bitcoin ETF to support Brink’s Bitcoin Core developers. In a statement, VanEck expressed gratitude and acknowledged the role of developers as the cornerstone of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
VanEck kicked off the campaign by donating $10,000 to Brink to support his ongoing efforts. Founded in 2020, Brink focuses on research and development to improve the Bitcoin protocol.
“We think this is great news,” Brink board member Jonathan Bier said in a statement. “Open source efforts around Bitcoin are extremely important, and it’s great to see VanEck giving back so generously to the core of the ecosystem.”
